🌸Meet the Creator of Magical Affirmations

Hi, I’m Alexandra (Ali) Angheluta — an educator, creative, and the heart behind Magical Affirmations.

With a Master’s in Social Work and training in play therapy and early childhood development, I’ve spent over a decade working closely with families and children, supporting their emotional growth, confidence, and development through play.

After working as a home-based educator, I created PlaySitters Hawaii — a unique, play-based caregiving service for families in Hawaii and Portland, Oregon. I combined my background in child development, social work, and play therapy, to support emotional wellness and learning in the comfort of each child’s own home.

As a PlaySitter, I provided screen-free, nurturing environments where children could express themselves, explore freely, and feel emotionally safe. I brought carefully chosen toys, books, and activities that supported each child’s developmental stage — from fine motor and language skills with little ones, to emotional healing and imaginative play with older children.

Though I no longer offer in-person caregiving, the heart of that work lives on in everything I create. Magical Affirmations is an extension of that journey — a space to share uplifting tools that nurture emotional well-being, growth mindset, and connection for kids and the grown-ups who love them.

Today, through my Etsy shop and creative offerings, I focus on:

• ✨ Resources that support emotional wellness and self-expression
• ✨ Curated recommendations for toys, books, and developmental tools
• ✨ A warm and welcoming space for parents, educators, and caregivers

This new chapter has allowed me to work while traveling and creating a more intentional life. While I currently teach ESL online (a stepping stone in this transition), my passion is in creating meaningful, heart-centered products that support families and educators alike.
